The Singapore Positive Education Network (SPEN) is a group of educators, parents, researchers, and other community members committed to advancing the cause of positive education. SPEN upholds the importance of applying the principles of positive psychology in school settings to foster students’ character, well-being and flourishing.
Its key goals include supporting collaboration, sharing effective practices and fostering learning to promote positive education in Singapore and beyond.
To develop greater awareness of the importance of cultivating well-being in education settings
To provide a platform for educators, researchers, parents, administrators and other advocates of positive education and positive psychology to interact, share and collaborate
To promote understanding of the key principles and recent developments in positive psychology and their application in education
To organize activities that facilitate and support the sharing of evidence-based resources and practices, and learning experiences on positive education across interested individuals, groups and institutions
To lead conversations that raise interest on positive education
