
Claire is The Positive Movement's co-founder, lead trainer and coach. She specializes in designing and delivering programs in Positive Psychology, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Coaching.
Claire holds a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), where she studied under the founding Professor of the field, Dr Martin Seligman, and other leading Professors including Angela Duckworth and Adam Grant.
She is an associate faculty at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) where she teaches Social-Emotional Learning and Positive Psychology in Coaching. Claire is a certified ontological coach with Newfield Network.
Claire has led training programs for both schools and corporates across Asia Pacific. Her previous clients include Hwa Chong Institution, Singhealth, National Healthcare Group and Novartis. She has also worked with the Family Justice Courts and Singapore Prison Service to embed Positive Psychology in public services.

Participants will start by identifying their intended target audience, enduring understandings, and learning outcomes for the design project they would like torototype. Next, they will get familiar with and begin using the EfS Standards and Enduring Understandings in designing lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, mapping curriculum, sketches and pacing calendars. Finally, they will have the opportunity to attempt vertical and lateral curriculum mapping and integration of EfS across curriculum and project plans.

In this introduction to the latest research on Mindfulness and contemplative practice, Dr. Chris Willard will be guiding us through the latest practices and what is actually happens in our brains during this time. Touching on physiology, neuroscience and even epigenetics, we will spend the time both practicing and learning, all while strengthening neural networks and connections throughout our brain and body.
Dr. Christopher Willard, (Psy. D.) is a clinical psychologist, author and consultant based in Massachusetts. He has been invited to more than two dozen countries to speak, and has presented at two TEDx events. He is the author of eighteen books, including Alphabreaths (2019), Growing Up Mindful (2016) and How we Grow Through What we Go Through. (2022) His thoughts on mental health have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, mindful.org, cnn.com, and elsewhere. He teaches at Harvard Medical School.

As human beings, it is inevitable to make mistakes or feel a sense of inadequacy. When we are going through difficult times, we may notice we tend to be more critical of ourselves versus how we would treat other people in similar situations. The MSC program is designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion and teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding.
Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.

Research shows that the relationship between a teacher and a student is key in supporting the students' growth and learning. Through this workshop, we will focus on equipping teachers with evidence-based tools and skills to improve the quality of the relationship with their students, while maintaining professionalism and setting healthy boundaries.
Through a series of scenario-based learning, role-play and guided reflection, participants will also have the opportunity to immediately practice and apply these interventions.
